ძველი მსოფლიო
ძველი მსოფლიო, ანტიკური ისტორია — ისტორიული პერიოდი, რომელიც გამოიკვეთება პრეისტორიულ პერიოდის დასრულებიდან შუა საუკუნეების დაწყებამდე[1][2].
ეს პერიოდი დაიწყო სავარაუდოდ 5-5,5 ათასი წლის წინ, როდესაც ეგვიპტელებმა შექმნეს დამწერლობა[3][4] და დამთავრდა 476 წელს რომის დაცემით[5][6]. ზოგ წყაროებში დამთავრების თარიღად თვლიან იუსტინიანე I გარდაცვალებას (565 წ.)[7], ისლამის დაარსებას (622 წ.)[8] ან კარლოს დიდის მმართველობის დაწყებას[9].
