No problem about Speed Demon.

I am actually a progressive rock / classical music fan. But I noticed that in some Wikipedias, Jackson had something called Speed Demon, but in other languages, he did not.

I added the song to a few languages. I assumed the local experts would decide what to do with that information.

I like learning languages in general, and I am still learning the Georgian alphabet.

So I am working on this table:

I have already translated this page into 9 languages.

I think I have the correct words for "Writer" and "Year" but not Title.

And I expect that I will make some mistakes as I convert the titles and authors.

I translated the list from French into English: en:Le Monde's 100 Books of the Century

Another guy, not me, added the Country column. That is a problem because, as you probably know, people fight over the nationalities of authors, instead of just reading the books.

After that editor added Country, I added Language, since that is more important information.

There is a short introduction before the list.

In languages where my knowledge is fairly good -- German, Spanish, Italian -- I translated the introduction myself. (I am still translating the Latin introduction.)

With other languages, I hope that an interested person who likes books will translate the introduction. That happened in Portuguese.

Normally, administrators like this page, and there are no problems. (Someone else translated it into Czech, and there are problems there.)

So, at some point, when the list is ready, I am hoping that a friendly Georgian will translate the introduction, instead of attacking the list because it has no source. (The source is in the introduction.)

But I still have 2 questions right now:

What should I call the table of books?

What should I call the page, since it comes from the newspaper Le Monde?

Le Monde's 100 Books of the Century could sound like

საუკუნის 100 წიგნი (Le Monde)

That means - 100 Books of the Century (by Le Monde) or 100 Books of the Century (Le Monde) - since there should be many '100 books' lists.

The last table you gave here is ok. In case you need to change მწერალი (Writer) to Author, you can use ავტორი.

1. I agree that there should be many lists of 100 books, but in English, they always want to prove "notability".
2. საუკუნის 100 წიგნი (Le Monde)
   I think a book list should be read by high school and university students. Are students going to understand "Le Monde"? Or should "Le Monde" be written in Georgian letters so everyone can understand more easily?
3. მწერალი or ავტორი. It is not about my personal opinion. It is a question of what sounds the best to a Georgian person.
4. When I say "table of books", yes, I mean a simple name, like წიგნების ჩამონათვალი. Perfect.

I have created my lists now in Polish WP and in Russian WP. There were problems in both places.

I am still working on Georgian. I am working on Georgian along with Swedish, Norwegian, and Romanian, because it is easier to do 3 or 4 languages at the same time.

I have also started a Turkish list because of today's news about the Turkish ships.

It must be difficult in Georgia: Russians on one side, Turks on the other side.

It is good that Georgians invented wine! Wine helps with every problem.

When I read ვარდის სახელი 20 years ago, I translated all of the Latin sections, and other foreign languages, to give to friends who are not good with languages.

Right now, I have finished 90 or 95 of the 100 books.

I will be creating the page in the next 2 or 3 days.

So, I am using ONLY the information that is available to me in Wikipedia.

So, if it is wrong, then that means that there is a mistake in Georgian Wikipedia.

After I create the page, I hope that some people, maybe in Tbilisi, will use their university library, and make corrections or improvements.

With Malraux, I do not, personally, want to be responsible for that information.

But you can add it yourself in 2 or 3 days.

Also, the author George (Joseph) Simenon.

I just changed the spelling of "Joseph" in Georgian from the English to the French pronunciation.

Please check ჟორჟ სიმენონი for me.

I think, you are right in this change (note:this is only my subjective opinion). I not sure about სიმენონი or სიმნონი, so lets wait a little for other users opinion. If you wish, I can translate it into Georgian. That's all I can do for now.

Well, სიმენონი has been a famous author since the 1930s.

Even though that is Soviet Georgia at that time, I assume there is an official spelling for his name already.

I was thinking that maybe there should be a note, saying that სიმნონი is a better pronunciation of his name; actually სიმნო is even better for pronunciation, but that is not a Georgian-style last name.

Another thing that I think is important.

Some of these books exist in a Georgian translation; many books do not.

So if an 18-year-old student wants to read these books, how does he know if the books really exist?

Maybe there can be a special symbol (*) if the title is a real book, or a symbol if the title is only a literal translation of the title.

That is something that I think that Georgian readers of the page can work on: distinguishing the real books from the translated, unofficial titles.

There is one thing more that I can say.

I have been working with many languages of Wikipedia, both for this list, and also for my main pages in English which are film pages.

I am very impressed with Georgian Wikipedia. To me, the quality here seems to be very high.

I know how difficult it is to work in a different alphabet -- I also read Greek, (რუსული), (არაბული ენა), and (ჩინური), a little, not a lot -- and the Wikipedians in Georgia are doing a good job.

That is my personal opinion.

I tried Reflist in both languages, but only one worked for me. Maybe I made a mistake.

I think I did a careful job.

I also read Greek and Arabic and some Chinese. Your alphabet is 100 times easier to read than Arabic. 1000 times.

I am an engineer by training, so we are careful, observant, and analytical.

So I think my translation is pretty good.

It is always possible that I made a copying error since I normally work on 4 or 5 languages at the same time, but I was very careful with the Georgian.

100% of my information came from Georgian Wikipedia.

So if information is missing from the table, then that indicates a small problem in Georgian Wikipedia.

Russian Wikipedia wants to delete the Russian version of this page.

The page is in 15 languages. The only people who want to delete it are the Russians.

Obviously I understand the political situation between Georgia and Russia in the past few years.

But I don't understand why they don't like an intelligent list of books.

I am sorry to hear that you experienced the same problem.

The neurologist still needs to tell the government that I can drive cars again.

That is not a big problem; we have the subway.

But, there is now a transit strike, and I am going to night school.
