ფრანკო კაუზიო (იტალ. - ↑ Causio Franco: il Barone Rampante. Uno dei più grandi interpreti di un ruolo inventato dal calcio italiano, quello del tornante, nasce a Lecce il primo febbraio 1949. Il suo esordio avviene nella stagione 1964-65 nella squadra della sua città che in quell’anno milita in Serie C. L’anno successivo passa alla Sambenedettese sempre in terza serie, ma gli occhi delle grandi del calcio italiano sono giù su di lui. A San Benedetto del Tronto, infatti, la domenica scende in campo, mentre il martedì e mercoledì sono dedicati ai provini.
