English: An atmospheric cloud rises above the summit of Dempo stratovolcano in SE Sumatra. Gunung Dempo here towers nearly 3 km above tea plantations below its eastern flank. Dempo is one of Sumatra's most active volcanoes, producing small-to-moderate explosive eruptions. Seven partially overlapping craters cut the summit; the youngest of these is partially filled by a crater lake.
