დიანა აბგარი

დიანა აბგარი (დ. 12 ოქტომბერი, 1859, იანგონი, მიანმა — გ. 8 ივლისი, 1937, იოკოჰამა, იაპონია) — სომეხი მწერალი, პუბლიცისტი და დიპლომატი. სომხეთის პირველი ელჩი იაპონიაში. მსოფლიოში პირველი ქალი-ელჩი.^[1]^[2]^[3]

ბიოგრაფია რედაქტირება

დაიბადა 1859 წლის 12 ოქტომბერს ქალაქ რანგუნში (ამჟამად იანგონი). მიეკუთვნება იმ სომეხთა ოჯახს, რომელთა წინაპრებიც ჯულფიდან სპარსეთში გადასახლდნენ XVIII საუკუნეში, საიდანაც შემდეგ გადავიდნენ ინდოეთში. ოჯახში დიანა ყველაზე პატარა იყო შვიდ დედმამიშვილს შორის. კალკუტაში გადასახლების შემდეგ დიანა სწავლობდა სასულიერო სემინარიაში, სადაც მან მიიღო ინგლისურენოვანი განათლება და შეისწავლა სანსკრიტი, ხოლო სომხურს სწავლობდა ოჯახში^[4].

1889 წელს ჰონგ-კონგში დიანა ცოლად გაყვა მიქაელ აბგარს, რომლის ოჯახიც ასევე სპარსეთიდან იყო ემიგრირებული ინდოეთში.

დიანა აბგარი გარდაიცვალა 1937 წლის 8 ივლისს იოკოჰამაში. დაკრძალეს იქვე უცხოელების სასაფლაოზე, მეუღლის გვერდით.

Some of these ideals were implemented by the First Republic of Armenia (1918—1920), which became one of the first nations to give women the right to vote. It also appointed Diana Abgar (Abgaryan), the first female ambassador in the world, to represent Armenia in Japan. These developments suggest that women’s progress is possible in traditional societies such as Armenia

It is worth to mention that, the First Armenian Republic of 1918—1920 was one of the first nations to give women the right to vote and to be elected and in its Parliament eight percent of the members were women. It is worth to emphasize that, the first female -ambassador was Dr. Diana Abgar (Abgaryan) Ambassador of Armenia in Japan (While Alexandra Kollontai recognized to be the first female ambassador was appointed as Ambassador of Norway only in 1923).
